QORA Help
Here are answers to the questions we hear most often. QORA is an IPTV player: the app doesn't provide any channels, movies, or shows itself, it plays back the access you bring from your own provider.
Basics
Does QORA provide channels, movies, or shows? No. QORA is a player. All content comes from your own provider, whose access you enter into QORA.
Does QORA work with my TV provider? Yes, if it provides Xtream login details or an M3U list. Those are the two common formats for an IPTV access. If in doubt, ask your provider which one it uses.
Which devices does QORA run on? On Android TV, Google TV, and Fire TV, plus Android phones and tablets. Windows and Apple devices are coming.
How much does QORA cost? Nothing on one device, forever. QORA Plus connects all your devices and costs €9.99 a year. QORA Ultra costs €14.99 a year and answers buffering issues within 24 hours on business days. You can cancel anytime.
Is my access data safe? Your provider's access stays on the device where you enter it. With QORA Plus, you sync it encrypted across your devices. It's stored encrypted in the Android Keystore (AES-256-GCM), never as plain text. If you use device sync with QORA Plus, the transfer runs exclusively encrypted via HTTPS to our servers in Frankfurt.
How do I delete my account? On the "Delete account" page, you sign in and confirm the deletion. Without an account, there's nothing to delete: uninstall the app and everything's gone.
Playback and technology
Why does the picture stutter or buffer? Usually it's the provider or the internet connection, not QORA. QORA works with a buffer of at least 6 seconds to absorb short gaps from your provider, and reconnects in stages if the connection drops. If that's not enough, check your internet speed first, then your provider's status. With QORA Ultra, you get an answer within 24 hours on business days about where buffering comes from.
What does "A playback session is already running" mean? Many IPTV plans only allow one simultaneous connection. If QORA is already running on another device or in another app, the provider rejects the second access attempt (technically shown as an HTTP 407 error). End the other playback, then it'll start.
Why is the program guide (EPG) missing for some channels? Not every provider supplies a program guide for every channel. If the guide is missing, QORA still shows the channel normally, just without the extra info on what's playing now and next.
Why does the connection briefly drop when I switch channels? When you switch channels, QORA releases the old connection immediately before opening the new one. On plans that only allow one connection, this stops the app from blocking itself. A brief black moment when switching is normal.
Setup
How do I enter Xtream login details or an M3U link? Step by step in the guide to adding your access.
How do I set up QORA on the Fire TV Stick? The Fire TV guide walks you from installation to your first channel.
How do parental controls work? In settings, you set a PIN and lock individual folders. Locked content then becomes invisible anywhere in the app and can't be played, not even through search.
Can I continue watching on several devices at once? With QORA Plus, yes: favorites and your progress sync across all your devices. Without QORA Plus, each device stands on its own, with its own access and its own progress.
Can I use several providers at the same time? With QORA Plus, yes, several provider accounts cleanly separated within one app. In the free version, it's a single access.
